This Vase Has been re-listed at a lower starting price and is now up for auction!: [link]

Large Hand blown Vaseline glass Vase. (aka Uranium Glass) 8 lip design with a slight opalescent blushing on the top. Measures 9.5 inches tall. Nice heavy weighted, stable vase able to support larger flower arrangements. Still has Original Company/studio sticker on it. (as shown in the photo) Hand ground pontil mark and Artist/Studio initials on the bottom. Made at the old Williamsburg Glass Company.(which shut down many years ago and no longer produces any glass) No chips, cracks or defects. Perfect condition.

This is a vase that I made for myself back when I was with the Williamsburg Glass Company in Lightfoot Virginia. This was a one of a kind, personal piece, NOT a production piece. I hand blew this vase sometime in the mid 1990's while I was working as lead gaffer for the shop. I initialed the piece on the bottom with "D.A.C - W.G.C." (my initials and the shops) but since I wasn't planning on ever selling it I never dated it. This piece has been part of my own personal collection of glassware, but I am now forced to part with many of my own pieces.

I wasn't aware that many people still worked with Vaseline glass, nor that it was still readily available for use in the creation of new objects.

Cool. :)

They don't, and it's not. When we were using it in the mid to late 90's there were only about 5 other studios/factory's left in the world making or using it. Even less now.
